The story of EMME
The philosophy behind EMME is twofold. On the one hand, it celebrates the distinctive colors that guide Milanese and visitors underground: the red , yellow and blue of the main lines become chromatic protagonists, transforming into bold and recognizable design elements.
On the other hand, the collection reflects the very concept of movement , intrinsic to the subway, translating it into interactive features . EMME lamps are not conceived as static objects; they are designed to be actively experienced by the user. Just as passengers move along the lines, so people can interact with these lamps , moving them, adjusting their height or position, and adapting them to different contexts and moments of the day.
The collection is made up of three unique pieces, each dedicated to a specific Milan metro line.
EMME 1
A clear tribute to the historic red M1 line , this floor lamp is dressed in an energetic and distinctive red . Like trains on the tracks, EMME 1 offers vertical movement : its main feature is the adjustable height , which allows you to direct the light beam with precision and adapt it to different functional needs, from diffused ambient light to a focused light point for reading next to an armchair.
EMME 3
Inspired by the yellow M3 line , this extremely versatile lamp shines in a sunny and lively yellow . EMME 3 challenges typological conventions thanks to its adaptability to different spaces and contexts. It can act as a wall lamp thanks to a practical magnetic system that fixes it to the wall. Alternatively, EMME 3 can be used as a table lamp , either placed in a vertical position (perfect for illuminating a desk or a bedside table), or laid out horizontally, transforming itself into an accent light or a suggestive luminous centerpiece . Its innate flexibility makes it suitable for countless domestic and work scenarios.
EMME 4
Evoking the modern atmospheres of the new M4 blue line , EMME 4 presents itself as a sophisticated pendant lamp in an intense blue color. Designed to float elegantly above dining tables, kitchen islands or living areas, EMME 4 introduces a further level of interaction through its useful dimmable function. This allows the user to finely modulate the light intensity , creating the perfect atmosphere for each specific occasion: from a full and functional light for daily activities, to a more soft and intimate one for moments of relaxation or conviviality.
